![[Alex Haney portrait.jpeg]] Alex Haney is a writer and [[Directing|director]] drawn to genre-bending stories about misfits, rebels, and underdogs. Raised in a multicultural Jewish-Jamaican family, he loves exploring new worlds through the most authentic of human experiences. Alex is a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts with short films that have played at over 50 film festivals and won over two dozen awards, including a Wonderland Award from the Lewis Carroll Society of North America and Best Family Film at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival. The multiple [[Screenwriting|screenplays]] Alex has developed include a fantasy-adventure Robert Heinlein adaptation for *Game of Thrones* producer Vince Gerardis and sci-fi feature *The Invention of Reality* which was selected for the inaugural Hollywood Climate Summit Pitchfest.
